The basic processes of rubber hose production include mixing rubber processing, cord and canvas processing, rubber hose forming, vulcanization, etc. The processing methods and forming equipment for the skeleton layer of rubber pipes with different structures and skeletons vary.
The full rubber hose does not contain a skeleton layer, so you only need to use a press to press out the hose; The cloth clamping hose requires the use of a molding machine that wraps the adhesive tape onto the inner adhesive layer; The suction hose needs to be wrapped with metal spiral wire before being wrapped with inner glue during molding; The weaving and winding of rubber hoses require the use of specialized fabric weaving machines or winding machines; Knitting hoses require the use of a knitting machine, etc.
The main methods for forming rubber hoses are based on whether to use a core, which can be divided into coreless method and cored method (including soft core method and hard core method).
Coreless forming
Rubber tube coreless forming, the equipment is an extrusion molding machine (commonly used screw extruder), which directly forms the skeleton layer and outer rubber layer on the pressed inner rubber tube.
The rubber material is stirred, mixed, plasticized, and compressed inside the barrel using the placement of the extrusion screw, and then moves towards the head direction. Finally, a certain shape of product is extruded from the mouth shape. The screw extruder has two types: hot feeding and cold feeding. The former feeds the pre heated strip material through an open rubber mixing machine, while the latter feeds the non heated rubber material.
Cored molding
Rubber tube with core forming refers to the process of forming the rubber tube on a hard or soft core. In order to ensure that the rubber tube is under pressure during the vulcanization process, the rubber tube is wrapped in a water soaked cloth (about 10cm wide wet cloth roll), rope, or lead after forming, and then vulcanized.
Vulcanization can be achieved by direct steam heating or continuous vulcanization in a vulcanization tank. Short fiber hose is the process of directly adding short fibers to the rubber material and then pressing them out for molding. Its production process is simple, and it will gradually replace knitted hose and cloth clip hose. Modern hose production processes tend to be highly continuous and automated. The use of thermoplastic rubber or plastic can eliminate the vulcanization process and greatly simplify the production process.
