Three major stubborn problems of hydraulic tools

Aug 03, 2023

① Due to the different flow rates of the transmission medium (hydraulic oil) during the flow process, there is a certain amount of internal friction inside the liquid, as well as friction between the liquid and the inner wall of the pipeline. These are all the reasons for the temperature increase of hydraulic oil. An increase in temperature will lead to an increase in internal and external leakage, reducing its mechanical efficiency. At the same time, due to the high temperature, the hydraulic oil will expand, leading to an increase in compressibility, making it difficult to transmit control actions well. Solution: Heating is an inherent characteristic of hydraulic systems, and cannot be eradicated but can only be minimized as much as possible. The use of high-quality hydraulic oil and the layout of hydraulic pipelines should try to avoid the appearance of elbows, use high-quality pipelines, pipe joints, hydraulic valves, etc.
② The vibration of the hydraulic system is also one of its chronic diseases. The impact caused by the high-speed flow of hydraulic oil in the pipeline and the impact generated during the opening and closing process of the control valve are all the reasons for the vibration of the system. Strong vibration can cause errors in system control actions, as well as errors in some more precise instruments in the system, leading to system failures. Solution: The hydraulic pipeline should be fixed as much as possible to avoid sharp bends. Avoid frequent changes in fluid flow direction, and take vibration reduction measures when unavoidable. The entire hydraulic system should have good vibration reduction measures, while also avoiding the impact of external vibration sources on the system The leakage of hydraulic systems is divided into internal leakage and external leakage. Internal leakage refers to the process of leakage occurring within the system, such as leakage on both sides of the hydraulic cylinder piston, leakage between the control valve core and valve body, etc. Although internal leakage does not cause loss of hydraulic oil, due to leakage, established control actions may be affected until system failure occurs. External leakage refers to the leakage that occurs between the system and the external environment. The direct leakage of hydraulic oil into the environment not only affects the working environment of the system, but also leads to insufficient system pressure and faults. There is also a risk of fire from hydraulic oil leaking into the environment. Solution: Use high-quality sealing components to improve the processing accuracy of the equipment.
