How Does A High Pressure Hose Work

Mar 25, 2024

How Does a High Pressure Hose Work? The work of high-pressure hoses mainly depends on the characteristics of their internal structure and materials. First, the high-pressure hose is composed of a multi-layer structure, usually including an inner rubber layer, a strengthening layer and an outer rubber layer. The inner rubber layer is mainly used to seal and prevent the leakage of the medium, the strengthening layer plays the role of withstand pressure and shear force, and the outer rubber layer provides protection to prevent the strengthening layer from corrosion or damage.
When the high pressure hose is used to transport the high pressure medium, the inner rubber layer first contacts the medium, because it has good sealing and corrosion resistance, it can effectively prevent the leakage of the medium. Then, driven by high pressure, the medium flows through the inner rubber layer to the reinforcing layer. The stiffener is a key part of high pressure hoses and is usually made of high strength materials such as steel wire or fiber reinforced materials. These materials are able to withstand high pressures without deformation or rupture, ensuring that the media can safely pass through the hose.
Finally, after the reinforcement layer, the medium passes through the outer rubber layer again and finally reaches the target position. The outer rubber layer not only plays a protective role, but also prevents the hose from being damaged by the external environment, such as wear, impact or chemical corrosion.
In general, high pressure hoses achieve safe and efficient transmission of high pressure media through their unique structure and material characteristics. This makes the high-pressure hose widely used in many fields such as industrial production and life, such as conveying high temperature gas, hot oil and other high temperature media, conveying low temperature or ultra-low temperature media, and conveying corrosive chemical media.
