A breakaway hydraulic jack is a commonly used tool for lifting and supporting heavy objects. In order to ensure its proper functioning, it needs to be regularly checked and refilled with hydraulic fluid, here are brief steps on how to add hydraulic fluid to a breakaway hydraulic jack.
First, Prepare tools and materials
1、Hydraulic oil suitable for hydraulic jacks.
2、Cleaning cloth or paper towel.
3、 suitable for the hydraulic oil capacity of the oil filling tool, such as oil filling gun or funnel.
Second, determine the hydraulic oil container
Check the hydraulic oil container of the jack. Usually, the container is located at the bottom or side of the jack and has an oil filling hole.
Third, clean the work area
Before you start adding hydraulic oil, make sure the work area is clean and wipe the area around the hydraulic oil container with a clean cloth or paper towel to prevent dust or impurities from entering the hydraulic system.
Four, open the oil filling hole
Locate the oil fill hole on the hydraulic oil container and gently open the oil fill hole cover using an appropriate tool (e.g. screwdriver or spanner).
Fifth, slowly inject hydraulic oil
Insert the oil filling tool (oil filling gun or funnel) into the oil filling hole and connect it to the hydraulic oil container. Slowly tilt the container and gently squeeze the hydraulic oil to slowly inject it into the hydraulic oil container.
Sixth, check the fluid level
Check the level of the hydraulic fluid container periodically during the injection process. Make sure not to over-inject to avoid overfilling the hydraulic system.
Seventh, close the oil injection hole
When enough hydraulic oil has been added to the hydraulic oil container, gently tighten the oil injection hole cover.
Eight, clean the work area
After adding hydraulic fluid, wipe the area around the hydraulic fluid container again with a cleaning cloth or paper towel to ensure cleanliness.
Please note that the above steps provide a general guide and specific steps may vary depending on the hydraulic jack model and manufacturer. Therefore, always refer to the hydraulic jack's instruction manual before performing any maintenance operations!
